Donations for communities in the Dominican Republic

By Dr. Ehrenhaus

The image depicts a woman standing outdoors at a table with a scale on it.
The image depicts two people standing behind a table laden with various items, including bags, boxes, and foodstuffs, set against an outdoor background with greenery and a structure that appears to be a covered patio.
The image shows a table laden with various food items, including bottles, cans, and bags, suggesting a display for sale or distribution.
The image shows two large bags of what appears to be grain or seeds placed on a surface with sunlight casting shadows.

We donated (to 25 families) rice, beans, pasta, salsa, milk, salt, oil and a whole chicken. The photos show Maribel Gonzalez (president of Fundacion de La Tierra) and her nieces and nephew, who helped prepare the bags for donation (Francis, Chaisey, Chailyn).

Dr. Michael Ehrenhaus, MD and his wife Maribel go to the Dominican Republic two to three times a year to perform eye examinations and advanced eye surgery, including corneal transplants, for minimal to no cost to the patients.

The charity missions are to help those people that otherwise would have no access to proper eyecare and who otherwise would not enjoy the gift of sight.
